Anurag Thakur, the Sports Minister, tabled the “Anti-Doping Bill” in the Lok Sabha on December 17, 2021. The law aims to provide a legal framework for the National Anti-Doping Agency to function on (NADA). The bill gives India’s National Anti-Drug Abuse Administration (NADA) the authority to conduct raids and expand drug-abuse prevention efforts across the country. It will also establish a legal framework for the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) and other dope testing organizations to operate under. It also proposes the formation of a National Board for Anti-Doping in Sports to enhance anti-doping efforts in sports. The National Automobile Dealers Association will be renamed the National Automobile Dealers Association. It will keep its headquarters in New Delhi.
